I know you will love this week’s episode of Drunks and Dragons because we make fools of ourselves. You see, without spoiling what happens, the gang is put into a bit of a pickle that they need to try and figure out. The issue is that the gang is full of lunatics who like to use their weapons instead of their minds. Listen as we attempt to solve a mystery that befalls a small island on our voyage to Mastwick.
Thank you as always for joining us for another thrilling adventure with the Drunks and Dragons gang. This week we learn even more about one character’s past with some… unfortunate revelations. Perhaps some memories are best left buried behind that weird contraption in your head that could explode at any minute (or reanimate you as a zombie when you die.) Also, this week has some disturbingly helpful new avenues for potential Drunks and Dragons fan-fiction, so you are welcome!
I know we say this every week, but honestly, things get dicey on this episode of Drunks and Dragons. With Junpei going a little crazy and Thom being influenced by some mysterious force the gang’s trust is tested to its limits. Add in a visit from a group of Darkblades and things got really interesting.
Our heroes were left in quite the pickle last week eh? Who knows what is going on in the mysterious armory of Trant Thumble and if the gang will make it out alive… Fortunately, some powerful magic items were left just lying around so the odds should be in their favor.
We would love if you could take a moment out of your busy day to leave us a review on iTunes. It is the best way to help us out and you have a chance to get a mention on the show!
As our little world is growing, I know all you fine people can’t wait to see which directions the heroes take. Any week could hold completely different adventures because we the players chose to go left instead of right. This is the magic of Dungeons and Dragons and one of the main reasons why this show is so much fun to make. This week’s episode is a truly special one and we hope you enjoy it. Things get pretty interesting to say the least.
Since we had such a nice time on last week’s episode of Drunks and Dragons the gang was feeling pretty good. Our heads were in much less danger of being exploded. We met Fennekin the famed cleric. And we even had some direction for our lives! This week things don’t go as well and without spoiling anything I think we can all agree that Tum’s family is the worst.
Have you had a chance to check out our kickstarer? No??? Well head on over to and check it out! We are now in our stretch goal to record several episodes in the Firefly RPG universe, which sounds golram amazing.
When discussing what other themes would be fun to tackle in a tabletop setting, sci-fi was an obvious choice. The choices for systems and worlds (universes) are many, but there was one IP that really resonated with the whole group: Firefly. We know almost nothing about the system we will be playing, but we are beyond excited to don our browncoats and start swearing in Chinese. If we hit this stretch goal, we will take on a ten episode campaign in the world of Firefly.
Welcome to another action packed episode of Drunks and Dragons! When we last left our heroes there was a strange ticking noise coming from Thom’s head… What could this mean for our group? Found out who lives and who dies in “A Hysterical Dragonborn.”
Our stalwart companions continue their battle against the giant croco-monster fresh from the swamps of Ichtaka. If they can defeat their foe, they have a special treat awaiting them: dinner with Papa Trant and the rest of Tum’s siblings.
After being captured by Thumble soldiers the gang has to overcome a few obstacles to win their freedom. Tum’s father, Trant Thumble, has some sort of coleseum with scary creatures that host fights for the entertainment of the people. Tum was pitted against the brand new Tum – a horrific minotaur. Hopefully he will get through the help of his friends everything will work out A-OK.
This week your adventurers are faced with a brand new set of un-friendly faces. When a potential new friend crosses their path, things turn ugly really fast. The inhabitants of this crazy world really hate our heroes. It is almost like everything revolves around them while catastrophe follows in their wake.
We are also announcing our Drunks and Dragons Kickstarter! The short version is we have been having some audio issues resulting mostly from our recording gear. For the most part we have been able to hide the majority from your ears but we wanted to level up our equipment! Plus, this is one of the best ways to reward our loyal listeners with some DnD branded swag!
We may have gotten ourselves into a pickle after ransacking Zantac’s emporium. Our personal flavor of justice seems to have angered the elderly shop keeper. Someone had to put a stop to this horrible dog murderer and if that means acquiring some magical items in the process then that is just the universe rewarding our good deed. Hopefully we are not also rewarded with a free trip to jail.
Having bested a legendary Kraken has earned the crew a break from the grind of “almost dying constantly.” Unfortunately, things start going to h-e-double dagger almost immediately. But I am sure Caer will be a safe place fo the gang to avoid getting into any misfortune. As long as no one makes any terrible decisions everything will go swell!
After a daring battle with a band of evil pirates, your adventurers are now looking forward to a little fun in the sun. Having “liberated” Hookbeard’s boat and freeing his captives getting to Caer is now only a few days passage. That is if they don’t run into the legendary sea monster that haunts these water. I am sure he won’t show up though.
Your heroes are one step closer to finding the answers they seek in the city of Caer. First they have to gain passage with the infamous pirate Hookbeard. Will the gang have to jeopardize their already shaky morals to reach Caer? Find out in this weeks Drunks and Dragons!
The lovely folks at Wizards of the Coast have provided us with a copy of Heroes of the Elemental Chaos to give away! Just write a review on iTunes and paste it into the comments thread on this post to enter. Must be in the US (sorry!). Pro-tip, copy the review before you submit it, they tend to disappear in the iTunes system for about a day.
Screens from this week’s adventure to assist with your theater of the mind:
Imagine, if you can, waking up in a desert and fighting to survive the night. This is the situation our adventurers found themselves in. We have mentioned our “dream sequence” episode in the past and we glad to finally release it! We are joined by a new friend and get to fight a terrifying new foe.
Oh boy, this week on Drunks and Dragons things sure do get dicey. While searching for answers the gang must try to work together while not destroying the town of Mastwick. Are they prepared to find out the truths that await them? Or will their pasts stop their adventure in its tracks…
To make up for the lack of a battle in last week’s Drunks and Dragons we fight for a really long time this episode. Like always, we go back and forth between dying and exploding the enemies with reckless abandon. Close your eyes and let the sounds of battle wash over you. Be sure to listen to the end since some pretty crazy cliff hangers occur.
Maybe a few poor decisions were made this week. Who is to say? Do we have any regrets? Sure we do. Would we like to go back in time? Yes, most definitely. Your adventurers may be a little worse for wear but are bound together in a race to save their lives.
(please forgive some continuing audio issues – Thrifty’s mic is dying. We are working to fix this issue, and it should be better next week!)
We are back from the holiday and here to bring you DnD! The gang finds themselves in a bit of a trap and death is only a hallway away. Will the hallway devour our heros like an angry squirrel? What is on the other side of the door? Tune in and all of these answers will be yours!
This week’s episode is short because of the holiday, but hey, at least we have an episode! The audio quality is also pretty terrible, but we have a fix for that going forward, so sorry about that! Hope you still enjoy this lovely episode!
A quick note: We had some audio issues this week, and we apologize for the lack of quality. We have a plan moving forward that should dramatically increase our audio quality.
This week on Drunks and Dragons: Our heroes come face-to-face with one of the dwellers of Shadowspar, and battle quickly ensues. Will the gang survives? Will they agree on what an arcana check does? Will one of the group cause another member of the group to get hammered to death? Only time will tell!
The whole gang has gone through a lot of changes this week. Everyone has leveled up, and has all sorts of new powers and abilities to show off. Aludra takes it one step further by shifting to the Warden class so that she can take over the defender duties for the group.
The group flexes their new muscles by rolling on Shadowspar Keep and revisiting the trial of the zombie hulks. There are some new surprises as well. Find out what happens by listening to this week’s episode of Drunks and Dragons!
Hello stalwart heroes! After a small hiatus the gang was rip-roaring ready to make things “dicey” this session. Prepare to fall deeper into the pit that is our fantasy world. Lives are changed and allegiances are set in stone. This is an episode to remember. Are you prepared for the revelations that await you?
Hello Adventurers! This week we took a hiatus from our harrowing adventure through the lands of fantasy and giant evil turkeys to look back at what we have accomplished thus far. As our little story gets more and more complicated, these breaks will help new listeners as well as old get caught up with the various story threads. So prepare your standard adventurer’s rations and gather around the fire!
Since we are new and just getting our new shaky podcast legs we need your help with as much feedback as possible. One great way to spread all your positive feedback is on iTunes! Please do not leave the bad ones there since it hurts for a long, long time. Thanks for listening!
Join us on our very first adventure as Tum Darkblade (Tim Lanning), Thom the Dragonborn (Mike Bachmann), Junpei Iori (Steven Strom) and Aludra (Jennifer Cheek) find themselves in a very strange situation. With only their wits, the newly formed group must work together to escape certain death and dismemberment in this spooky Halloween themed adventure.
